NapLab by dr. Andreas Prasadja, RPSGT – Indonesia's first professional nap space – officially opened on Friday, August 1, 2026, at Setiabudi One, Jakarta. The opening was attended by Jeffri Massie, President Director of Massindo Group, representing Therapedic Indonesia as NapLab's official mattress partner.
NapLab was built on a straightforward premise: quality sleep should not be a luxury reserved for home – it should be accessible in the middle of the city, in the middle of the workday.
In his remarks at the opening, dr. Andreas Prasadja, RPSGT – Indonesia's leading sleep physician and the driving clinical force behind NapLab – made a pointed case for repositioning sleep at the top of Indonesia's health agenda.
"This is our modest contribution to the advancement of Indonesian human quality through sleep health. Sleep is the foundation of human quality – mentally, psychologically, and physically – yet in Indonesia it has gone largely unaddressed. We tend to focus on nutrition or exercise, but without proper sleep health, your morning run could trigger a heart attack; without proper sleep, no diet will make you slim. Sleep health comes first. Fortunately, we are the pioneers. We got here first."
For dr. Andreas, this is not a marketing position – it is the culmination of years of clinical practice and advocacy in a country where sleep medicine remains nascent. NapLab is his answer to a systemic gap.
The idea for NapLab came from a lived experience, not a business plan.
Drg. Kallandra Prahita Putri, MHPM – CEO of NapLab, known as Drg. Andra – was experiencing microsleep episodes while driving due to exhaustion. Her workaround: pull into the nearest mall, park in the basement, and sleep in her car before continuing. It worked – but it raised a question she couldn't set aside: why is there no dedicated place to simply sleep? There are massage parlors. There are cafés. But nowhere designed solely for the purpose of genuine rest.
She brought the idea to dr. Andreas. Together, they developed it into NapLab: not just a rest stop, but a professionally designed sleep environment built on sleep medicine principles. The plan is to expand to other strategic locations across Indonesia.
Setiabudi One was chosen deliberately. Surrounded by office buildings, it is positioned to serve exactly the people NapLab was built for – professionals who need genuine recovery in the middle of a working day.
Inside NapLab, guests sleep on a mattress developed with dr. Andreas in collaboration with Therapedic Indonesia. The partnership is more than aligned – the two brands describe the same continuum. NapLab speaks to what rest is for: Rest with Purpose, Return with Power. Therapedic speaks to what you become because of it: Wake Up Ready. Two taglines, one arc.
That alignment has already translated into a commercial extension. The NapLab mattress is now available for purchase directly through NapLab — an idea that emerged from the guests themselves. Multiple visitors who had tried sleeping at NapLab asked whether the mattress was for sale. The response confirmed what the team had already sensed: if the experience improves sleep quality here, there is no reason it cannot do the same at home.
"Therapedic from the United States has spent 70 years helping millions of people. Now in Indonesia, we are partnering with NapLab to bring rest to people who are busy – people who need their creativity and productivity. A short nap matters," said Jeffri Massie, President Director of Massindo Group.
